The Great House was the centre of every plantation. At the ruins of the great house, learn of Whilliam Whyly, one of the former plantation owners, and his unothodox methods of treating those that were bound to serve him.
On a self guided tour, take note of what remains; the Owner's residence and the detached kitchen and office. This is indicative of the 18th century life of the upper class that controlled industry, trade, and law.
